Action Tokens

Action tokens is a functionality that allows to execute actions for user by passing certain url with code to the browser. See topic guide on Action token login for details how this works. This document will focus on administration tasks required to enable action token functionality.

Action token allows to execute login, coupling or person activation actions for person.

Possible action token actions

Action token login

The Action Token feature toggle can be found in Onegini IDP admin console in Configuration > Features tab. To enable token based login functionality simply select the Login via Action Token enabled checkbox.

Action token coupling

The Action Token feature toggle can be found in Onegini IDP admin console in Configuration > Features tab. To enable token based coupling functionality simply select the Coupling via Action Token enabled checkbox. Please note that currently this option will only work with combination of Action token login.

Action token person activation

Action token activation is used behind the scenes when you select "Person activation via email" option under Configuration > Features. The link sent in email will contain the action token that will activate the person.

Action token options

Each action related to action token can have different options required for it to work. Each action must have the Action token validity set up that shows how long the token can be used to execute given action.
